Sunday School 9:30am
Small groups meet at various times throughout the week
We are located at 2501 South Belt Highway just south of Highway 36, St. Joseph, MO.
Here's our CrossPointe Worship playlist
(this includes almost everything we've sung in church during the last year)

Age-wise, we are diverse, though largely younger, i.e., family age. Sunday morning attendance is around 175 people.
Dress trends lean toward business-casual, though you can find anything from khakis to gray suits, flip flops to pumps, and dress pants to shorts. People in all age groups are friendly and engaging.
On Sunday morning at 9:30am we come together for an hour for our Sunday School programs, in which we learn about God’s Word and its application to all areas of life. We have classes for all ages from nursery age to adult. Normally we enjoy the presence of our Jr. High and Sr. High age young people in the Adult class. However, occasionally there are elective courses taught for specific age groups outside the larger Adult class. Following that, we begin our Sunday morning service around 10:30am.
The music we sing at CrossPointe is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the sixteenth century and we find blessing in the choruses of the twenty-first. Most of us who are comfortable with one particular style have discovered, while at CrossPointe that we have come to enjoy other genres of music we had not previously encountered. We strongly prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of some while encouraging passivity in the rest. However we do also enjoy a rich blessing of musical accompaniment, group special music, and occasionally vocal/instrumental solo music designed to encourage and edify us in worship.
Here's two playlists that cover the majority of the songs used in our worship in the last year:
Body of Service
Our service then formally begins at 10:30am, led most often by an elder or pastoral staff member. During this time, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read, and read responsively selections from scripture and the historic creeds and confessions. Our worship, although ordered and somewhat formal, is participative and engaging.
Preaching at CrossPointe is expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last between 40-45 minutes and are packed with material for reflection and engagement. All preaching is intentionally gospel-driven and gospel-centered.
After prayer, we typically receive the offering. The Lord’s Table (communion) is celebrated at this time (normally once a month on the fourth Sunday). A typical service is concluded with the benediction, usually by 12:00pm. An hour later, you might still find folks talking over the sermon and events of the past week or eating brown bag lunches in the fellowship area.
